Storm looks lovely in this pile of leaves, but it’s not a great idea to allow areas like this to remain the the yard – they’re a flea’s dream home.
Fleas tend to inhabit organic debris in areas that are dark, moist, and in the shade. Concentrate on eliminating these conditions. Rake leaves and clean areas such as under porches, decks, crawl spaces, dog houses, etc.
It’s also a good idea to wash all sheets, blankets, bedding, upholstery, and other fabrics that your pet lays on.
There are a number of natural products on the market that are effective for treating indoor and outdoor areas. Just remember, no matter what product you choose, it is important to use it in the right areas.
