In the meantime, remember that Flea Treats are an all natural deterrent and do not contain any pesticides – they will not kill anything. Since you mention active fleas, you can try a few things while waiting for Flea Treats to reach full effectiveness.
– Use a flea comb. Daily combing will remove fleas from your pet. This method is safe for all animals. Dip the comb in soapy water to kill the fleas.
– Vacuum frequently. In general, vacuuming is the safest way to remove the occasional flea that may hitchhike into your home on you or a visitor. Don’t forget to vacuum furniture and any carpeted cat trees. Empty the bag or canister outside to prevent reinfestation!
– Wash pet bedding and blankets in hot soapy water to kill any eggs, pupae, or larvae.
